I remember being in Boise City Ok as a child, 50's or early 60's,  and hearing this awful racket from the trees.  It was almost deafening at times.  It was not explained well to me what the sound was.  I was not really impressed. I have to think it was this.  &lt;br /&gt;
Thank you for this rant.  &lt;br /&gt;
